Likely improver with strong prospects. CARTIER ISLAND (4) was out of the money on debut two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 5f at Werribee, beaten 2.5 lengths into fourth. Well placed and there is no reason she cannot find winning ways. RAMBITION (1) returns from a short break after finishing fourth over 5f at Wangaratta a month ago. Kept up to the mark with a recent Ararat trial placing. One of the main contenders. RENEGE (2) was prominent at the corner and finished second last time over 5½f at Hamilton, beaten 1.75 lengths. Will trim down following recent racing. Capable of another bold effort.
