Group 3 placegetter WHAKAMANA (2) missed the placings two runs back then did well last start but found a couple better over 1m1 3/4f at Yarra Valley, beaten only 1.75 lengths. Has the class to take care of this field. STARDOM AWAAYTS (8) finished 3.5 lengths from the winner in fifth last start over 1m2 1/2f at Horsham, an improvement on his seventh at Moonee Valley the run before. Looks well placed so expect a big run this time. VIVIDEEL (1) was far from disgraced when second last start after being prominent at the corner over 1m2 1/2f at Sandown-Lakeside, beaten half a length. That followed a win at Terang the start prior. Tackling a more suitable race so he can make amends. WISE LEGEND (6) has been out of the winner's list for a long time, last start finishing sixth at this track over 1m2f. Likely improver who should be about the mark.
