GOPHER FRANK (2) missed the placings when resuming two runs back then didn't feature last start when 4.5 lengths away in sixth over 4½f at Mt Gambier after being prominent at the corner. Best figures measure up nicely. Sure to run well. SMASHING ACTION (9) pushed forward last time and boxed on to finish half a length away in second over 5f at Mildura. Looks well placed so expect another big run. CHARM CATCHER (4) settled back before coming home strongly to score on debut over 5¼f at this track eight months ago and has not been produced since. Has upside and is among the chances again. LAPILLI (6) comes here off a break of five months. Scored over 5½f at Naracoorte at the start of last prep. Looks a strong top-three prospect.
