MY CHINA PLATE (10) impressed when successful as favourite on debut over 5f at this track three weeks ago. Promising type who can go back-to-back. DISMANTLE (7) got well back over 5½f at Bendigo last time and never threatened, eventually finishing 9 lengths away in 12th. Finds a suitable assignment and can get the job done. POISONOUS (6) missed the placings two runs back then didn't feature last start when 9 lengths away in 11th over 6f at Ballarat Synthetic after being in contention on the corner. Has the class to take care of this field. SOPHAST (2) didn't make an impact at his last run before going for a lay-off on December 15, finishing 14th and beaten 16 lengths over 5½f at Werribee. Lines up. For the first time for trainer Greg Hayes. Makes plenty of appeal.
