Race Tip

TORONESS (6) is a 10-start maiden who finished eighth, beaten 2 lengths, when resuming from a lay-off last start over 6f at Warracknabeal. Improvement to come and this is her chance to break through. AFFIRMATIVE SMILE (8) is a three-start maiden who finished sixth, beaten 2.25 lengths, when resuming from a lay-off last start over 4f190yards at Swan Hill. Can come on from that run and looks a serious contender. OLIVIA ROSE (3) is a maiden galloper resuming. After a lay-off of nine months. Closed last campaign with a fourth over 5½f at Wodonga, beaten 2.75 lengths. Fitter for a recent trial win. One of the contenders. Set Weights AY (1) produced another moderate effort last start when 12 lengths from the winner in tenth over 5f at Moe at the second run back from a lay-off. No surprise to see her in the frame.
