Disappointing turn out for a 6f novice stakes for the opening race on the card. The overwhelming choice is newcomer GREAT OAK (1) who runs for the Karl Burke stable and owned by a powerful breeding operation. By Mehmas who is a tremendous sire of youngsters and has several smart winners all over the pedigree. Stable are a terrific source of two-year-old winners and are operating at 22% this campaign already. Looks impossible to oppose despite his inexperience. His sole rival is the experienced STAR PEOPLE (2) who has been gelded since finishing well held in fifth at Chester. One for nurseries. MOLLISHA (3) is a non-runner.
