ON PATROL (4) made considerable ground in the run home to finish second last start over 7f at this track. Sure to feature again. ROMMEL'S GODDESS (8) finished 2 lengths away in seventh last time out over 6f at this track a week ago. Tackles a longer journey this time. Simone Altieri who has two wins when partnering stays on. Among the leading chances. BEST OF THE GODS (11) produced a good run two starts back to finish second but disappointed last time when out of the placings at Albany over 1m. Needs to be at his best to beat this field but he is good enough to play a major role. PRECIOUS GOD (10) settled well back then came home powerfully to score by a nose over 7½f at Pinjarra Scarpside last time out. Has sound form at this track and distance with a win and two minor placings from four runs. Not to be discounted.
