NEWHAVEN PRINCE (4) missed the frame on debut then progressed nicely at his second outing when in contention on the bend, finishing a long neck from the winner in second at the end of 7f at Pinjarra Scarpside. Looks well placed so expect another big run. QUEEN SELYSE (9) produced a good effort last start when second over 1m at Albany to make it three minor placings from six runs this campaign. Harder here but a bold showing is expected. LUNA BALLET (6) showed good early speed and led into the straight before fading to finish fifth, beaten 2. 5 lengths, over 7f at Bunbury. Will push forward and is among the chances. MAGIC CARATS (1) raced on speed last time before fading to finish ninth over 1m3f at Pinjarra Scarpside. Alex Hearn stays aboard and although yet to win has been in the money on four occasions. Must be respected.
