MOHEGAN RULER (3) travelled in a rearwards position then picked up fairly well in the straight and finished 4.5 lengths away in seventh last time out over 6f at Pinjarra when fresh from a lay-off. Steps up in distance. Harder here but can measure up. SPORTS TALK (2) finished second at Pinjarra Scarpside two runs back but didn't measure up last time over 7f at this track, finishing 2.75 lengths back in seventh. Faces an easier assignment so he is one of the main contenders. BARECOVE ROCK (5) is a last-start winner three weeks ago, scoring by a long neck over 7f at Pinjarra. Ticks all the right boxes.
