Testing conditions would have been far from ideal for RAMAZAN (3) when he finished runner-up at Thirsk on reappearance. Produced an excellent second among Listed company at Redcar last October and looks the one to beat when taking into account a Joe Leavy 5lb claim. MOSTABSHIR (5) remains lightly raced. Commands respect on the back of his pleasing reappearance third at Kempton (7f). Stable debutant THE WIZARD OF EYE (8) finished fifth in a competitive 1m handicap here last season. Looks well-weighted. Previous course and distance winner PEARLE D'OR (17) might feature following his reappearance outing at Newmarket. HICKORY (18) cannot be ruled out.
