HIGHLAND FLAIR (2) resumed over 6f at this track where he showed little early speed but got home nicely to finish fifth, beaten one length. Outsprinted in the run home but kept coming and looks suited by the extra ground. Major contender. KIRALUI (8) is yet to fill a placing in two runs since resuming from a lay-off, the latest when sixth over 7f at Geraldton. Should be peaking now and is among the leading chances. VALDARENA (7) recorded a strong maiden win over 6½f at Pinjarra Scarpside last time, getting there by 2 lengths. Is lightly raced and has plenty of scope for improvement. Winning rider Troy Turner stays aboard and she is one of the main chances. STATE OF FURY (10) was in the money two starts back at Albany but couldn't back it up last time when 11th, beaten 8 lengths, at this track over 7f. Has her share of ability and can do a lot better.
