DESCENDING MIST (2) is backing up quickly on home turf after finishing in the money over 1m1 1/2f just nine days ago. Good effort last start and is likely to be in the finish. JOHNNY BOZ (6) finished fourth two runs back then did well last start but found one better over 1m at Coonabarabran, beaten only a long neck. Tackling a deeper field this time but he is up to the task. WAITAPU (3) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1m1 1/2f at this track, beaten 9 lengths into fourth after being in the firing line on the corner. Best figures measure up nicely. Sure to run well. PIERANT (7) fought on for third last start over 1m at Tamworth, beaten 1.75 lengths to add to some fine recent form. Nicely placed to play a pivotal role.
