Going up a level this time but she is good enough to play a major role. CALICO JACK (1) finished ninth over this distance, beaten 5.5 lengths, at his latest outing. Has a strong record at this trip, scoring five times from nine starts. Won't find this as tough. Leading contender. MAWALLOCK (7) fought on well for third last start over 6f at Moonee Valley, making it two minor placings in a row. Fred W Kersley stays on. Capable of running a bold race. NAVY KING (10) returns after a lay-off of five-and-a-half months. Started the last campaign impressively when in the placings over 5f at Warrnambool. Worth plenty of thought.
