FRANCINE (4) faded right out of it last time over 5½f at Geelong after showing good early speed and leading for much of the way, eventually finishing seventh. Expected to do much better. SUTADAMU (1) showed good speed to lead over 6f at Ballarat last start but faded right out of it to finish seventh. Blinkers added in a positive sign from the stable. MUTSUHITO (3) finished fifth two runs back at Wangaratta then improved last time out to score by 0.8 lengths over 6f at Echuca when he produced a huge finish. Ms Rose Hammond gets the best out of this four-year-old gelding. Finds a suitable race and can go on to make it two in a row. THREE GRAND (9) resumes from a lay-off of four months. Has filled a minor placing at both when resuming runs. Opened last prep with a second over 5f at Warrnambool. One of the better prospects.
