LAYNEESDOVECANDY (1) showed good early speed then led into the straight last start before fighting on to finish third, beaten 5 lengths, over 5½f at this track (Dirt). Will take catching. ADELYN'S ROCKING (4) is building towards his maiden success, the latest effort a solid second over 5½f at this track (Dirt), beaten 4 lengths after being in contention on the corner. Well placed and there is no reason he cannot find winning ways. FRANCESCONI (3) is yet to break through in four runs. Finished eighth at his last appearance over 1m at Los Alamitos (Dirt) on July 3 after he was well back on straightening. Finds the right race and is worth consideration. DE NOVO (2) returns from a lay-off of three-and-a-half months. Was safely held at the only appearance last prep when fourth over 6f at Turf Paradise (Dirt). Sure to make his presence felt.
