RIDE UP (4) showed early speed from a good draw when resuming last start then battled on well for third, beaten 3.5 lengths, over 6½f at this track (Dirt). Likely improver with strong prospects. MACKVILLE (6) is a four-year-old gelding who is having his first run for the Linda Rice yard. Hasn't raced since finishing ninth at Churchill Downs (Turf) eight months ago. Hasn't trialled publicly but is in a nice race. Bold showing expected. KING FREUD (2) has a moderate winning strike-rate but impressed when returning from a break last time at this track (Dirt), finishing third and only 1.4 lengths from the winner at the end of 6f after being in the firing line on the turn. Well placed and there is no reason he cannot find winning ways. BIG RICH (1) finished third at this track two runs back but didn't measure up last time over 1m at this track (Dirt), finishing 8 lengths back in sixth. Looks well placed so expect a better run this time.
