EVEN SHARPER (9) returns after a lay-off of four months. Started the last campaign in good style when in the placings over 6f at this track. Yet to win when resuming but generally runs well with four minor placings from five tries. Rates highly and is likely to be prominent. IN NO DOUBT (2) sat close to the pace last time out but faded to finish eighth, beaten 4. 5 lengths over this journey at Ipswich. Can bounce back. REAL VALENTIA (3) finished fourth two runs back at Murray Bridge then improved last time out to score by 0. 8 lengths as public elect over 5½f at Broken Hill. Meets some better types this time but another win beckons. MODS (5) finished 5 lengths behind the winner in seventh over 6f at this track last start after lifting strongly to score two runs back. Drawn to enjoy a nice trail just off the pace. One of the better hopes.
