HETTINGER (4) is a distance specialist who was out of the money when resuming two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 6½f at Wangaratta, beaten 9 lengths into 12th. Yet to miss the placings in two starts over this course and distance. Aaron Sweeney gets the best out of this six-year-old gelding. Has his share of ability. Hard to beat in this suitable race. HE'S MAVERICK (6) finished out of the money two starts back then was beaten 4 lengths when seventh in a 1m1 1/2f contest at Kingscote three weeks ago. Has started two times at this course and distance and is yet to miss the placings. Sonja Logan gets the best out of this four-year-old gelding. Nicely placed to feature in the finish. FIGO THE GREAT (5) made it two wins in a row last time out when he scored by a neck over 1m3/4f at Kingscote. Meets some better types this time but he has the ability to test this field. KANGAROO COURT (2) lifted strongly to get the prize by 2.5 lengths three runs back at this track before filling a minor placing at his last two starts. Dakota-Lee Gillett who has scored on him three times retains the mount. Among the top-three hopes.
