STAR OF MONSOON (2) is yet to fill a placing in two runs since resuming from a lay-off, the latest when 14th over 7f at Morphettville Parks after he got a long way back. Should be peaking now and can turn things around. MACER'S RAZOR (5) scored at his most recent appearance, getting home by 2.5 lengths over 1m at this track. That continued the good form this campaign, with two wins from four runs. Should be in the finish. LETHAL ENCOUNTER (6) was out of the money two runs back when fresh from a lay-off then again missed the frame last start over 7f at this track, beaten 9 lengths into seventh. No surprise to see him in the mix.
