MADARA (7) couldn't have been anymore impressive when winning the G3 Plate Handicap Chase at Cheltenham last month. Improving quickly and will be hard to beat if getting a clear round. Last year's winner GENTLEMAN DE MEE (3) is back to defend his crown and this will have been the target all year. Weighted to prove hard to beat. ILE ATLANTIQUE (4) disappointed at Leopardstown in February. Possible the better ground will help and Paul Townend taking the ride is a major boost to his chances. BILL BAXTER (22) won this on soft ground in 2023 and offered promise at Kelso last time out. Not discounted back over these fences.
