Daily Nap December 22: El Hombre to come good at Wolverhampton

As ever with the last day or two prior to Christmas there aren’t vast numbers of interesting bets but Planet Sport thinks this one at Wolverhampton was worth a ‘tickle’ and you can do so at a price.

15.00 Wolverhampton - El Hombre

Mark Loughnane-trained El Hombre goes at Wolverhampton (15.00) over a trip of about six furlongs. The race looks wide open on paper, as indicated by the market.

My selection ran well last time out, when he hinted that he was on his way back to his best form, but he just didn't get a run at a vital time in the race. He is partnered by Joanna Mason, who claims a useful 3lb and has been in cracking form in the saddle in 2021.
He is well treated on his form of the early part of last year, when he was running well from around 7lb or so higher in the handicap. He has the ability and with that potential for a revival given his latest effort, he could go very close at a double-figure price.
