Daily Nap December 15: Valsheda to confirm promise at Newbury

Planet Sport tipster Jonathan Doidge picks out his daily nap for the racing at Newbury on Wednesday, December 15.

Wednesday's nap comes from another competitive National Hunt card at Newbury, where I'm siding with a horse who I believe can deliver on his debut over fences.

The Berkshire track is one that maestro trainer Nicky Henderson has farmed over the years and he knows the type of horse it takes to win on this lovely, galloping track.

The selection made a respectable start at Doncaster before going to Exeter and breaking his duck at the second attempt.

The six-year-old looks a thorough stayer and after that Exeter success, Henderson marked him out as a chaser-in-the-making.

He gets in on his handicap debut on an official BHA mark of 122 but I think he will prove capable of leaving that well behind and making into a typically competitive chaser at a better level than this for the Seven Barrows yard. He can carry Nico de Boinville to victory.

At the time of writing he is around 2/1 and those odds could look generous just after 1.30pm on Wednesday.
