York Musidora Stakes betting tips: Trends confirm Infinite Cosmos as justified favourite

The Dante Festival takes centre stage at York this week, and our resident trend-setter Andrew of Fiosrach has used his analysis to pinpoint the likely winner in the Musidora Stakes on Wednesday.
Our two selections for Saturday's Victoria Cup at Ascot ended up running poorly and finishing down the field.
Trends analysis works more often than not, but it is not infallible as this race proved, but we will hope for better from one of the big races on day one of this week's York meeting.
The Group 3 Musidora Stakes is for three-year-old fillies aiming to run in the Oaks at Epsom in early June.

Infinite Cosmos in the 15:35 at York
John Gosden and Frankie Dettori have excellent records in this race, with Gosden providing six of the last twelve winners and Frankie Dettori having won four of the last eight.
Their only entry this time, Soul Sister, has a low rating and is the outsider of the field of eight, but one to keep an eye on considering the stable/jockey record.
Using the trends above the following three horses remain:
Infinite Cosmos, Gather Ye Rosebuds and Lambada.
Infinite Cosmos is the short-priced favourite and comes from the stable of Sir Michael Stoute, who also has a good record in this race. Favourites have a good record in this race, and it will be no surprise should Infinite Cosmos win.
Gather Ye Rosebuds has only had one run, winning in style,, and like Infinite Cosmos' latest win that was on soft going. The going at York is likely to be on the fast side of good by Wednesday unless the course is watered. She was impressive but might just lack race experience here.
Lambada from Aidan O'Brien's Ballydoyle stable is beautifully bred, but again is unproven on good or better. Montjeu, her dam sire preferred a bit of cut in the ground, so Lambada may not appreciate the going if quicker than good.
Based on the trends alone
Infinite Cosmos looks the most likely winner; however, I think the contest is more open than her price suggests.
