Wednesday's Royal Ascot tips: Bay Bridge too strong for rivals in Prince Of Wales's Stakes

Planet Sport tipster Pete Farries picks out his best bets on day two of Royal Ascot on Wednesday, June 15.

After a cracking opening day at Royal Ascot where Baaeed, Nature Strip and Coroebus claimed the big races, there's only one Group 1 race (Prince Of Wales's Stakes - 15:40) on day two.

However, that doesn't mean there isn't some top-class racing on show, and the Planet Sport tipsters have their eyes on three hot selections.

Here's a quick run through of Pete's fancies and remember you can follow the racecards and results from Planet Sport's live centre.

14:30 Royal Ascot - Maria Branwell
15:40 Royal Ascot - Bay Bridge
16:20 Royal Ascot - Bashkirova

14:30 Royal Ascot - Maria Branwell

The price at the time of recording is 8/1 which is way too big.

Made her debut at Thirsk in early May and ran superbly in a Class 4 getting the win. Took a big jump up to Class 1 at Sandown the last time round and won that too.
This horse has a fantastic chance and is sitting a little under the radar too.

15:40 Royal Ascot - Bay Bridge

My star pick today is the Sir Michael Stoute runner of Bay Bridge. Really good when winning the Brigadier Gerard Stakes and looked good at Sandown and Newmarket over the last couple of months. He looks good almost always.

This is a great race, Lord North won this in 2020, the brilliant runner of Shahryar has also gone superbly at times but this is one of the races where you can't go against the favourite.

16:20 Royal Ascot - Bashkirova

This William Haggas runner is about 4/1 at time of recording and was impressive finishing second on similar ground back at Goodwood in April in the Conqueror Fillies' Stakes.

Has run since then, and won since then at Epsom. This a good price so it's on the nose for me.
