13.00 Punchestown - Queens Brook

Ireland has some of the best of the week's action in the build-up to Cheltenham and Gordon Elliott's Queens Brook can set her stall out for the Festival in the Quevega Mares Hurdle.

A thoroughly talented and consistent seven-year-old, Queens Brook was an impressive winner last time out at Fairyhouse, beating subsequent hat-trick winner Ciel De Neige of Willie Mullins.

Queens Brook has an entry for the Close Brothers Mares' Hurdle at the Festival and victory here under Davy Russell will set her up nicely for March.

13.35 Punchestown - Haxo

Sounding like a cross between a stuffing mix and a Citroen model, Haxo looks a strong pick for the Punchestown 'Good Times' Festival Maiden Hurdle.

Holding entries for both the Ballymore and Albert Bartlett at Cheltenham, you'd want the five-year-old to be winning this sort of race to be anywhere near that level.

Willie Mullins' Kandidate gelding is a French import who won over a mile and four over the channel and could very well go in on his Irish debut.

14.05 Punchestown - The Waltzer

Roll up roll up, this fairground attraction is going the right way towards a win for Gordon Elliott.
A reasonable second over course and distance last time out, Elliott will be hoping his five-year-old goes one better this time.

He finished behind none other than Dysart Dynamo a couple of starts back but this one should be easier and The Waltzer can put his opponents in a spin in the Festival Hospitality (C & G) Maiden Hurdle.
