Wednesday's Sandown racing tips: Solid claims for William Buick treble

Planet Sport tipsters head to Sandown for the afternoon meeting on Wednesday, September 14.

It's Breeders' Day at Sandown Park which means there will be lots of stands at the racecourse offering information about the horse racing industry. We can help you out too, with some red-hot tips.

You can get all the latest racecards and results from Sandown by using the Planet Sport live centre, but first here's a quick list of our tips with some more detail on our highlighted horses below.

13:50 (Sandown) Sir Benedict

14:25 (Sandown) Local Dynasty

15:00 (Sandown) Striking Star

15:35 (Sandown) Bayside Boy

16:10 (Sandown) I'll Be There

16:40 (Sandown) Savrola

17:10 (Sandown) Golden Chain

14:25 (Sandown) Local Dynasty

Local Dynasty looks a likely winner for William Buick in the Time Test British EBF Novice Stakes as he continues his march towards a first ever title.

A winner on debut at Newmarket by three and a half lengths, he was then thrown into the Acomb at York and sent off favourite but had no answer to the winner Chaldean.

Given how Chaldean followed up in the Champagne Stakes at Doncaster at the weekend that form now has a new complexion and Local Dynasty can defy a penalty.

15:35 (Sandown) Bayside Boy

Bayside Boy, again ridden by Buick, appears to have been a very good opportunity in the Chasemore Farm Fortune Stakes.

Roger Varian and his team will still be on a high after winning the final Classic of the season when Eldar Eldarov claimed the St Leger, but he will have been scratching his head over Bayside Boy's campaign.

Having ended last season looking like one of the best juveniles in training, winning the Champagne Stakes and finishing placed in the Dewhurst and Vertem Futurity, Varian would surely not have believed he would have reached September without adding to his record.

Having missed the 2000 Guineas due to fast ground ground he ended up in the French version, where in the end he had no chance from stall 14.

He then showed his ability still remains, when beaten just two lengths behind the ill-fated Coroebus in the St James's Palace Stakes at Royal Ascot.

Sent off favourite at Goodwood last time out, however, he took a step backwards when only fourth in a Group Three.

He perhaps was not comfortable on the track there, though, and any horse can be forgiven a run at Goodwood. So with headgear on for the first time he is taken to return to winning ways.

16:10 (Sandown) I'll Be There

Buick also looks to have solid claims in the following Coln Valley Stud Fillies' Handicap with I'll Be There.

Now trained by George Boughey, she has not been seen since breaking her maiden at Goodwood when with Andrew Balding, beating a 75-rated rival comfortably enough.

She starts life in handicaps off 78 and as the least-exposed filly in the field more is expected.
