After a fantastic start to the 2022 Cheltenham Festival we move on to day 2, and our tipsters have another fistful of crackers for Wednesday, March 16.

Is your wallet battered and bruised from day 1 of the Cheltenham Festival? It shouldn't be, our tipsters are in rude health after backing Constitution Hill, Edwardstone and Honeysuckle on Tuesday.

Wednesday's big clash is the rematch between Shishkin and Energumene in the Queen Mother Champion Chase, and our tipsters, like everyone else, are struggling to make a choice between the two.

However, hopefully the Planet Sport tipsters and their friends can serve up a few Wednesday winners for you. Expect your wallets to be bulging after this set of hot selections and each-way fancies.

If you need some more info on why our tipsters have selected our Group 1 highlighted horses we'll serve up a little bit more detail further down the page.

Good luck and please gamble responsibly.

Strong each-way selections for Day 2 of Cheltenham

13:30 Ballymore Novices' Hurdle - Stage Star

14:10 Brown Advisory Novices' Chase - Ahoy Senor

14:50 Coral Cup - Handicap Hurdle - Indigo Breeze

15:30 Queen Mother Champion Chase - Nube Negra

16:50 Grand Annual Challenge Cup - Elixir De Nutz

17:30 Weatherbys Champion Bumper - Poetic Music

13:30 Ballymore Novices' Hurdle - Journey With Me

Jonathan Doidge, Planet Sport: "A bit of value here with Journey With Me who easily won his Irish point, won a bumper and then beat Minella Crooner, who is many people's idea of the Albert Bartlett winner, on his hurdles debut in a Leopardstown maiden over Christmas.
"Didn't need to be as good as that to comfortably defy a penalty at Naas in a novice hurdle last month. He does step up hugely in grade here but I'm taking that as a positive, he could be anything."

14:10 Brown Advisory Novices' Chase - L'Homme Presse

Jonathan Doidge, Planet Sport: "I'm going to go here with the Brits, with Venetia Williams and L'Homme Presse. He's come on leaps and bounds since going chasing this season.

"He's won four out of four, Exeter, Ascot, the Grade 2 Dipper at Cheltenham on New Year's Day and then, most recently, Grade 1 company in the Scilly Isles at Sandown."

15:30 Queen Mother Champion Chase - Energumene

David Carr, Racing Post: "Shishkin beat Energumene at Ascot and everyone seems to think he'll beat him again. He might do, but 4/7 one and 100/30 the other, I think Energumene has to be the bet.

"He had Shishkin beat for most of the race at Ascot, this isn't any stiffer a track, if anything it might be an easier course. If he gets in good jumping rhythm up front, Energumene has to be the bet to overturn the favourite this time."

17:30 Champion Bumper - American Mike

David Carr, Racing Post: "Facile Vega is going to be all the rage, he's out of Quevega, a Cheltenham legend, he looked really stylish at Leopardstown last time.

"This isn't a stylish race, I think American Mike could outstay him, Gordon Elliott thinks an awful lot of him and I think American Mike might be the value."
