Tuesday racing tips for Musselburgh, Chelmsford and Wolverhampton

The Planet Sport tipsters have just three meetings to get to grips with on Tuesday, January 3, perhaps they can find some winners to get 2023 off to a cracking start.

Here's a quick bit of detail on our key selections for Tuesday's action, you can find a full list of tips for every race across all the tracks at the bottom of the page.

Don't forget to check out the racecards, results and live odds in the Planet Sport racing live centre.

13:15 (Musselburgh) Parliament Hill

Olly Murphy is enjoying a good time of things and his Parliament Hill looks the one to beat in the Fitzdares Novices' Limited Handicap Chase at Musselburgh.
No great shakes on the Flat in Ireland for John Murphy, he made the perfect start to life in new surroundings when winning on his hurdling debut at Leicester.
While the Chatteris Fen at Huntingdon proved too much too soon for him, he was sent for wind surgery immediately after it, so it is probably unfair to judge him too harshly on that.
After a couple of months off he reappeared with a fair second at Southwell before winning for a second time, this time at Plumpton.
Murphy wasted no time in sending him over the bigger obstacles this season and following a satisfactory first effort at Fontwell, he won at Wetherby last time out.
He has winning form on all ground, has only had 10 races in his life and despite a 7lb rise, he has the potential to be a good bit better than his current mark.

13:45 (Musselburgh) First Account

First Account is back for Keith Dalgleish after a year off, but in this day and age it is never much of a worry.
A really consistent type, if he returns in the same form he was in this time last year he should take all the beating in the Fitzdares Handicap Chase.
Creative Control relished the step up to 3m here last month and a 6lb rise in the ratings may not be enough to prevent the Donald McCain charge from completing the double.
Fellow last-time-out winner Radetzky March may use this stiffer test to overcome his own hike in the handicap.
Enemenemynemo is open to improvement in this sphere and shouldn't be underestimated.

14:45 (Musselburgh) Hold Onto The Line

Hold Onto The Line won twice last spring, had almost 250 days off the track following wind surgery but still returned with victory at Musselburgh in November.
He has not been winning by far, so it has been hard for the handicapper to keep up.
This time he has been raised 5lb ahead of the Fitzdares New Year Handicap Chase, but Brian Hughes' style seems to suit him.

13:30 (Chelmsford) Copy Artist

On the all-weather at Chelmsford, Copy Artist could paint a pretty picture in the Irish Maiden Fillies' Stakes.
Andrew Balding's daughter of No Nay Never performed better than the bare result may suggest at Lingfield on debut and will have learnt plenty from that first day at school.
A half-sister to the smart Whitebeam and hailing from the family of St Leger winner Logician, she has the page to be a decent operator and can show her true colours with experience now under her belt.
Marinara, who was last seen running a fine second at Chantilly, also looks capable of picking up a race of this nature.
The Ivy and Evenstar are entitled to build on their respective first appearances when both finishing third at Southwell last month and they merit consideration in an open-looking contest.

15:00 (Chelmsford) Siam Fox

Siam Fox kept on well to sign off 2022 with a cosy success at Wolverhampton last week and could quickly open his account for the new year under a 5lb penalty in the Clockstock Handicap.
Rocket Yogi poses the biggest threat. A solid third at Leicester in October and gelded since, Holie Doyle could get a tune out of him here.
Mawkeb another to consider after a solid second in first-time blinkers.

17:00 (Wolverhampton) Queen Of Ipanema

Queen Of Ipanema saw her five-race winning run end when tried in Lingfield's Winter Oaks Trial prior to Christmas, but the track-and-trip winner can regain the winning thread in what appears calmer waters at Wolverhampton.
Although remaining on a career-high mark, she looks the class act in the BetUK's Acca Club £5 Free Bet Apprentice Handicap.

19:00 (Wolverhampton) Wakai Umi

Wakai Umi showed plenty of guts to make a winning start for Mark Loughnane on stable debut in November and now looks to follow up that course-and-distance success with the handler's son Billy taking over in the saddle.

The youngster has put his 7lb claim to good use of late and it could prove an asset once again as the Kuroshio filly attempts to carry top-weight to victory.
