Wetherby Racecourse

We’ve got all the W’s covered on Thursday, March 31 with picks from Warwick and Wetherby. Garincha is named after the Brazilian World Cup winning legend and he can waltz through the field.

Click on the Live Race Centre and you'll open up our resource for all the latest information, including race cards.

Here's a handy list of Planet Sport's picks from Wetherby on Thursday, March 31.

Spiritofthenorth (14.15 Wetherby)

Weebil (14.50 Wetherby)
Rose Sea Has (15.25 Wetherby)

Garincha (15.58 Wetherby)

Lord Sparky (16.33 Wetherby)
Freethinker (17.05 Wetherby)

World Trip (17.35 Wetherby)

Here's some finer detail on Planet Sport's three main picks from Wetherby.

14.15 Wetherby - Spiritofthenorth

Brian Hughes is a top jockey booking on Spiritofthenorth in the Join Racing TV Now Maiden Hurdle.

Going the right way about a first win over hurdles, a third last time out over jumps for Kevin Ryan's Bated Breath gelding was no disgrace. The five-year-old then won on the flat at Wolverhampton which was a good run out.
It'll be no surprise to see the azure Middleham Park Racing XLVI flash home first, leaving the bookies similarly blue.

15.58 Wetherby - Garincha

Named after the Brazilian footballer with the deformed legs who won two world cups, Garincha can be similarly fleet footed in the Watch Irish Racing On Racing TV Handicap Hurdle.

Conditional jockey Thomas Doggrell takes off a hefty seven pounds on the six-year-old who was a course winner at the end of last year.

Like his namesake, Garincha jinked right last time around at Fontwell, unseating his rider but a clear round can see him score.

17.35 Wetherby - World Trip

It's not asking the earth to suggest that Olly Murphy's World Trip has a good chance of taking the 100% RacingTV Profits Back To Racing Handicap Hurdle.

A win at Huntingdon earlier this month came at a distance of six lengths from Alan King's subsequent winner Midnight Glance.
Fergus Gregory gets the leg up with World Trip aiming to circumnavigate the field for the win.

You can't miss World Trip in the red blinkers and the seven-year-old powers on to take the @ToteRacing Pool School Now On YouTube Handicap Hurdle in great style, scoring in the hands of @Fergus_gregory2 for trainer @O_J_murphy91 ? pic.twitter.com/PE6IMz4oOB
