Sure bet means nothing more than "safe bet", which, however, is not entirely correct in terms of form.

Rather, it is about several, at least two, bets on the same betting event, but on different and all possible outcomes.

With two-way bets, two bets are placed, with three-way bets, i.e. the classic 1X2 bets in football games, meanwhile three.

All outcomes are bets, so one of the bets will definitely win in the end.

However, if you place all bets with the same non GamStop bookmaker, the bottom line will definitely be a loss, since the odds are calculated in such a way that 100 percent of the stakes are never paid out.

However, in some betting events, the odds differences, which are sometimes significant from bookmaker to bookmaker, can be used to achieve a profit expectation of more than 100 percent.

This in turn means that with a wise choice of stakes, there is a profit, no matter which of the bets works.

Example 2: Over/Under

Bookmaker A offers odds of 1.80 for at least three goals in a football match, i.e. for a bet of Over 2.5.

Meanwhile, bookmaker B is offering a maximum of two goals, i.e. under 2.5, at odds of 2.40.

If you now bet 100 euros on Over 2.5, 180 euros, i.e. 80 euros in profit, would be paid out if the bet was successful.

If you bet 80 euros on Under 2.5 at the same time, the payout would be 192 euros, i.e. a profit of 112 euros.

In the worst case, i.e. if more than three goals are scored, there would be a zero at the end. On the other hand, a profit of twelve euros could be achieved with a maximum of two goals - without any risk.

A corresponding adjustment of the total stake from 180 euros to 102.86 euros for Over 2.5 and 77.14 euros for Under 2.5 would result in a profit of 5.14 euros regardless of the number of goals.

Three-Way Sure bet

A three-way Sure bet is not only found, but above all and most often in football games when there is a choice between a home win, a draw and an away win.

Compared to two-way sure bets, the effort is somewhat greater, since bets have to be placed with three bookmakers not on GamStop.

Example: 1X2 bet in football

Bookmaker A offers odds of 1.95 for a home win, bookmaker B offers odds of 3.70 for a draw and bookmaker C pays back five times the stake for an away win.

Requirements for Sure Bets

Of course, accounts with several bookmakers are required for regular winnings with sure bets. It is advisable to monitor the odds over a few weeks in order to know which bookies not on GamStop offer the most frequent sure bets and where the odds are generally above average.
