Sunday's Salisbury racing tips: Back Benefit to impress in Wiltshire

Planet Sport bring you a handful of top picks from Salisbury on Sunday, June 12. Benefit is certainly one to keep an eye on.

Planet Sport's Live Race Centre brings you all the information from Salisbury, including race cards, results and schedules.

Below is our list of Salisbury selections, with the two headline selections in bold.

14:05 Gun Dog

14:40 Rose Barton

15:15 Havana Blue

15:50 Benefit

16:25 Infinitive

17:00 Lady Reset

17:35 Eddie The Beagle

14:40 Salisbury - Rose Barton

If Rose Barton can be quicker out the blocks in Salisbury, then there's a good chance she brings home her maiden victory.

Last time out in Leicester, many backed Rose Barton for glory, but a slow start left her needing to make up ground.

She did just that, but the experienced Eponina was two lengths too good at the line. It was her first outing over seven furlongs and the distance seemed to suit her.

Over the same distance in Salisbury, we're backing her to redeem her Leicester misfortune on Sunday.

15:50 Salisbury - Benefit

Currently rated 95, Benefit still has plenty of potential to fulfil, and there's a good chance she could show that in Salisbury's British Stallion Studs EBF Cathedral Stakes.

Two wins in her five starts to date shows her winning pedigree, and the fitness edge from running twice already this year could help her gain the edge over seven furlongs.

Her third last time out at Haydock is another positive to factor in - she was given plenty of work to do behind Sense Of Duty and her late push in the final two furlongs was mightily impressive.
