September Stakes or Longchamp next for John Leeper

John Leeper will feature in either the September Stakes or the Prix du Prince d'Orange this weekend following a nine-week absence from racing.

The former is a mile-and-a-half race at Kempton, with the latter being over a mile-and-a-quarter at Longchamp.
The three-year-old son of Frankel and Snow Fairy was permitted a break following a third-place finish in Sandown's Listed Gala Stakes back in July.
"Things weren't right after Sandown. We weren't happy with him and as a result of that he went and had a holiday. He was turned out for a month," said handler Ed Dunlop.
"He's come back and we've been very pleased with him and he seems much happier.
"He won't have a penalty for winning a Listed race, so as long as he remains healthy and well, we'll take him to Kempton or there's a chance he might go to France on Sunday for the Group Three over a mile and a quarter."
John Leeper won at Newcastle and Newmarket earlier this year, and was one of the main fancies for the Cazoo Derby. However, he disappointed, finishing in ninth place in the Epsom showpiece.
There will be nine entries for the September Stakes including the Owen Burrows-trained Hukum, who won Group Three races at York and Newbury on his last two starts.
Saeed bin Suroor's in-form Passion And Glory, who completed a hat-trick in the Group Three Glorious Stakes at Goodwood, will also feature.
Prince Of Arran, Brunnera, Fox Tal, Hamish, Outbox and Palavecino complete the list of runners.
