Saturday ITV Racing Tips: Best bets for Goodwood and Newmarket

There's a bumper selection of eight ITV races on Saturday, July 30 and the Planet Sport experts have a hot tip for each one.

ITV takes us to Goodwood and Newmarket this weekend with a fascinating selection of races including the Group 2 Lillie Langtry Stakes (14:25)

Firstly you'll need a quick run through of Saturday's selections, and a bit more detail below that if you need it. You can also get all the latest racecards and results using the Planet Sport live centre.

Selections:

13:05 (Goodwood) Classic

13:40 (Goodwood) Lethal Levi

14:10 (Goodwood) Cemhaan

14:25 (Newmarket) Rose Of Kildare

14:45 (Goodwood) Sea La Rosa

15:20 (Goodwood) Inver Park (e/w)

15:55 (Goodwood) Positive Impact

13:05 (Goodwood) Classic

There was plenty of talk about Classic before his debut at Newbury 15 days ago and he shaped with lots of promise that day, coming from the rear to finish an eye-catching fourth.
The Dubawi colt should have learnt plenty from that experience and he could prove tough to beat here.
Loyal Touch was only beaten three-parts of a length on his debut at Salisbury last month and is likely to be in the shake-up again, while The Foxes needs to settle better than he did at Royal Ascot but can't be ruled out.

13:40 (Goodwood) Lethal Levi

Lethal Levi is tough to oppose here. A winner off a mark of 85 at the beginning of this month, Karl Burke's gelding won well off 91 last week and has a mark of 100 for future engagements.
Carrying just a 6lb penalty for his first win due to the conditions of this race, he is 9lb well-in on official figures and could take all the beating in this.
Nelson Gay is interesting if improving for the step up to this trip, likewise Stone Of Destiny, while Mokaatil could have a say.

13.55 (Newmarket) Fox Degree

Fox Degree built on the promise she displayed in maiden and novice company when off the mark on her nursery bow at Ffos Las, with the third giving the form a boost by winning last weekend.

Ralph Beckett's juvenile powered home so can repeat the dose over this additional furlong with Frankie Dettori in the plate.

Immortal Beauty went agonisingly close in a maiden at the Welsh venue and her conqueror then didn't perform badly in the Super Sprint. Liberation Bay, Queen Of Uplands and Queen Of Deauville also make appeal.

14:10 (Goodwood) Cemhaan

Cemhaan can return to winning ways in the Summer Handicap.

George Baker's five-year-old began the season with a clear-cut victory at Salisbury and followed up in good company at Newmarket, looking a much improved stayer in the process.
He then went to Ascot for the Duke of Edinburgh Stakes and while it appears as if his improvement had halted, his finishing position of seventh of 18, beaten 10 lengths, does not tell the whole story.
The winner, Candleford, put up a freakish performance, coming home six lengths clear, but Cemhaan was only around three lengths behind the runner-up.
He could actually have finished a good deal closer as he repeatedly met interference when delivering his challenge in the straight.

There remains a chance that Cemhaan could still be ahead of his mark of 92 and a bold bid is expected in the Coral Summer Handicap, especially with Hollie Doyle on board.

14:25 (Newmarket) Rose Of Kildare

Mark and Charlie Johnston could also be on the mark in the Listed British Stallion Studs EBF Chalice Stakes at Newmarket with Rose Of Kildare.
She bounced back to form last time out in a similar race, pushing Eternal Pearl all the way in the Aphrodite over the course and distance.
Saturday's race has cut up badly if truth to told and if allowed to dominate Rose Of Kildare should have a clear run at things.

14:45 (Goodwood) Sea La Rosa

The absence of Free Wind appears to have left the door open for William Haggas' Sea La Rosa to win the Qatar Lillie Langtry Stakes.

A second placed finish to the Gosden-trained filly in a rough renewal the Lancashire Oaks at Haydock four weeks ago was another step forward from the daughter of Sea The Stars, who had previously impressed in the Group Three Pinnacle Stakes over the same course and distance.
In truth, this 14-furlong Group Two does not look that strong for the grade and Sea La Rosa may not need to improve on her Haydock effort to take the spoils.

15:20 (Goodwood) Inver Park (e/w)

The Coral Stewards' Cup can go the way of George Boughey's Royal Ascot winner Inver Park.
He arrives here on a real roll and despite his Ascot victory coming over seven furlongs in the Buckingham Palace, this return to six furlongs is not expected to cause any problems.
Never out of the first three since joining Boughey from the retiring Mick Quinn, his mark has gone up 20lb in the process.
As Royal Ascot handicaps go he won with plenty in hand, coming home a length clear of the consistent Ropey Guest, who has subsequently run well in the Bunbury Cup.

15:55 (Goodwood) Positive Impact

In a wide-open contest the marginal preference is for Positive Impact, who was only beaten a short head into second on his handicap debut at Newmarket last time.
That appears to be strong form and his 5lb rise in the ratings is negated by his rider's valuable claim.
Spirit Of Nguru and Zero Carbon are closely matched based on their meeting at Haydock a few weeks ago and both could go well today. Others to consider are Koy Koy and Laasudood.
