Ripon trends analysis each-way tip: It Just Takes Time to outrun double-digit price

Ripon racecourse
With nine meetings and 62 races to choose from on Saturday, Andrew of Fiosrach has run his trends analysis over Ripon’s biggest race of the day to narrow down the 20-runner line-up for us.
A misleading weather forecast didn't help our selection last weekend, and despite Dawn of Liberation being heavily backed from 33/1 into 14s, he could only finish mid-division.
We did mention that we thought that Kathab could emerge as a likely contender, and he duly obliged to win like in decent style after being backed in from 16/1 into 9/2 at the off.

One of the historic handicaps, the Great St Wilfred is run at Ripon and has 20 runners, so let's use the trends below to narrow down the field:
The trends above reduced the twenty runners to the following four and I will analyse further to hopefully find the winner:
It Just Takes Time, King Of Bavaria, Aramis Grey and
Raatea.
Suggested Bet:
It Just Takes Time each-way in the 15:15 at Ripon
It Just Takes Time
has a winning strike rate of 31% in turf races over a sample of 26 races, which is an impressive record. He also placed in another five races giving a 50% win and place rate on turf.
He has also won over course and distance and his excellent claimer takes off three pounds, suggesting that his decent draw and the prominent running style he usually employs should put him in the mix at the finish.
King of Bavaria has won at Class 3 but never at this level. He does have a good draw, but his task is difficult as he is generally held up, whereas sprints at Ripon favour front or prominent runners.
Aramis Grey is a lovely-looking mare who has a lot more experience on all-weather surfaces than on turf.
She has managed to win twice in eight starts on turf and finished third at Listed level back in May. but he stable and jockey are both in form and Aramis Grey must have a chance here.
Raatea also has a better record on all-weather tracks than on turf and with the stable out of form it is hard to see how he will win this.
Raatea is also a hold-up horse, which will again make his task more difficult here.
To sum up,
It Just Takes Time
is our selection based on the trends and the 16/1 available means we can have an each way be.
Don't forget it's always worth shopping around for extra places if the enhanced terms don't affect the price too much.
