Prix Vermeille winner Teona retired after injury setback
Group One-winning filly Teona has been retired after suffering a season-ending injury.
The 18/1 shot Teona, under Olivier Peslier, stunned Oaks winner and hot favourite Snowfall in the Prix Vermeille.
Teona claimed the victory by a length-and-a-half, with La Joconde another half-length away in third. It was Snowfall's first defeat of the season.

Bred by Rabbah Bloodstock, Teona is a half-sister to the Group 2-winning Al Hilalee and is out of Pretty Polly Stakes winner Ambivalent. The four-year-old will now join Ali Saeed and his team for a career as a broodmare.
