Newcastle each-way racing tip: Redzone fresh to hit ground running after extended break

The Bell Conductor ridden by Paul Mulrennan at Newcastle Racecourse
There’s plenty in with a shout in the last race at Newcastle on Monday night, but one of Tipstrr’s racing pundits has picked out one horse that might just be flying under the bookies’ radar.
At the top of the market, Murbih is expected to go well in his third outing in six days after a win and second place last week, while Glorious Rio, Kraken Power and Rhythm also hold claims.
Further down the betting, however, Redzone comes into this race after a 150-day break, and while he might not stick out initially as an obvious choice, as three-time course-and-distance winner he has to enter calculations.
This six-year-old gelding has also previously won twice after an extended break so he does tend to run well when fresh, and might just be primed to hit the ground running here also.
He actually won a Class 5 handicap race here at Newcastle this time last year following a 143-day break and he is now one pound lower than that winning mark.
Redzone is Harrison Shaw's only ride today and is also trainer Bryan Smart's only runner, and with both due a winner here at Newcastle, I'm expecting a decent run that is well worth a point each-way, especially with any bookmakers offering extra places.
Suggested bet:
Redzone each-way in the 20:30 race at Newcastle
