Newbury each-way racing tip: Mammas Girl shaping up to outrun her tasty odds

Ryan Moore rides Bertinelli to victory at Newbury May 20, 2023
Nine runners will be bidding for Newbury’s richest prize of the day, and Tipstrr’s each-way specialist Underdog Racing Tips believes the market leaders will not have things all their own way.
15:35 Newbury: BetVictor Hungerford Stakes (7 furlongs)
Chindit is likely to be sent off as the firm favourite, and holds decent claims after following up a season debut win at Ascot with a runner-up spot behind Modern Games here in May.
The fact that he has not been seen since finishing five lengths off the pace in sixth in the Queen Anne Stakes at Royal Ascot could be read two ways, but it certainly throws a question mark over his short price.
Of the other fancied candidates, Mostabshir should give a good account now reacquainted with William Buick, while Pogo is likely to be an early pace-setter and could be in the mix if allowed to dictate terms.

However, beyond those market leaders, top of Tipstrr's each-way shortlist is the only filly in the line-up, the Richard Hannon-trained three-year-old, Mammas Girl.
A winner in her sole start as a juvenile last October, she kickstarted her three-year-old campaign by leaving 14 rivals comfortably in her wake in the Nell Gwyn Stakes at the same Newmarket course.
She struggled to make an impact in two subsequent Group 1 one-mile outings at the Guineas meeting and Royal Ascot, but her last-time-out sixth at York saw her rally in the later stages, indicating that she needed further than that first six-furlong attempt allowed her .
Both of her wins were over this seven-furlong distance, while she should also benefit from the first-time presence of Rossa Ryan, who is in great form with 123 wins under his belt (18% win rate) that have yielded 131 units of profit so far this season.
Suggested bet:
Mammas Girl each-way in the 15:35 at Newbury
