Moore hoping Goshen can get right back on track at Sandown Park

The talented but headstrong Goshen will be aiming to get his career back on track when he lines up in Saturday’s Virgin Bet Contenders Hurdle at Sandown.
The six-year-old has won four of his 11 starts over hurdles, but none since he dotted up by 22-lengths in Wincanton's Grade 2 Kingwell Hurdle 12-months ago.
His next start saw him hang alarmingly right throughout in the Champion Hurdle, giving himself no chance and finishing ahead of just two of his nine opponents.
He couldn't live the that's day's winner, Honeysuckle, at Punchestown next time and had lost his way this season until a more encouraging effort at Lingfield last time.
Even so, he still hung badly right-handed on that left-handed track and was a close third of three, so there will be at least some cause for greater optimism that they go the other way around at Sandown.
"He had a tough race last time, but he has come out of the race well and it is going the right way round," said Moore.
"There were only six entries, so he will take his chance. It will be nice to see him back on track.
"He will run whatever, unless it goes good to firm or something like that, which I can't see happening."
Goshen first came to the attention two seasons ago when he looked like mopping in all four of his juvenile starts. He won his first three very easily and was in the process of routing the Triumph Hurdle field when unseating at the last while 10-lengths clear, leaving the race to Burning Victory.
