Monday's Pontefract racing tips: Back Maggie to deliver and win top prize

Planet Sport tipsters are at Pontefract looking to help you start the week in style following last week's focus on Aintree.

You are either feeling very smug or a little worse for wear after Saturday's Grand National.

This is where we step in and try to make you even smugger or perk you up with a couple of cheeky wins. Alongside our tips for the day, you can also get all the action and results from our live centre.

Our selections:

13:55 Pontefract - Comedian Leader

14:30 Pontefract - Rambuso Creek

15:05 Pontefract - Ba Na Hills

15:40 Pontefract - Ey up it's Maggie

16:15 Pontefract - Le Reveur
16:50 Pontefract - Beggarman

17:20 Pontefract - Esken Rose

17:50 Pontefract- Some Nightmare

15:40 Pontefract - Ey up it's Maggie

Ey Up It's Maggie is a standout pick for the 15:40 race at the Riu Hotels And Resorts Handicap.
A very nice early-season prize, the Tony Coyle-trained sprinter warmed up for the £25,000 event with an outing at the Lincoln meeting at Doncaster.
A decent one it was, too, as she once again showed lots of speed to take the field along, before feeling the pinch a furlong out.
That was the first run since October, so she was entitled to feel it, plus she has not actually won over six furlongs, so coming back to five here is ideal. With that under her belt, she should play a leading role.

14:30 Pontefract - Rambuso Creek

Jockey Kevin Stott will be hoping to already be on the scoresheet by the time Ey Up Maggie runs, as Rambuso Creek is in with a great chance at the Searching For The Yorkshire Wonder Horse Maiden Stakes.
Gelded since the last of his four juvenile outings, Kevin Ryan's runner was not out of the frame in any of them - including just being touched off here first time out against a useful type in Hamaki, who had the benefit of experience on his side.

17:20 Pontefract - Esken Rose

There is even a chance of a Stott treble - and Ryan double - as Esken Rose is an obvious contender in the Volkswagen Van Centre (West Yorkshire) Fillies' Novice Stakes.
Her one juvenile start came over this course and distance in September, where she bowled along in front and showed a good attitude in the finish. That was quite taking and she should only be better for it.
