Market Rasen nap March 30: Wolfspear to scare off his rivals

There’s some competitive action on the Market Rasen card on Wednesday March 30 and Planet Sport tipster Jonathan Doidge is heading in the direction of Lincolnshire for his selection.

There are 12 set to go to post for the Racing TV Handicap Hurdle (14:20), the second race on Wednesday's Market Rasen card and an interesting runner here is Wolfspear.
Olly Murphy's six-year-old has a bumper win to his name, which came on good ground at Huntingdon last May, and two of his three hurdling starts so far have been over a two-mile trip that is patently too short for him
Nonetheless, there has been some encouragement in those performances, which were all on slower ground than he won on, and I think that his initial handicap mark looks workable.
Again, this extended 2m2f trip may be a little bit short of what will eventually be his optimum but I'd say that every yard beyond 2m is a bonus and I think he looks worth a play on his handicap debut for a very good trainer.
So, to recap, Wednesday's pick is Wolfspear, in the 14:20 at Market Rasen.
