Kempton all weather

There's some evening racing on the Polytrack at Kempton for the Planet Sport tipsters to ponder over on Wednesday, August 9.

We start off with some details on our selected horses, then you can get a full list of all the tips from Kempton at the bottom of the page.

Don't forget to check out the Kempton racecard, results and live odds in Planet Sport's racing live centre.

Good luck and please gamble responsibly.

(Please be aware selections could become non-runners after article's first publication)

18:00 (Kempton) Botanical

Roger Varian's Botanical can show his class again in the Unibet Horserace Betting-Operator Of The Year Novice Stakes.

The Lope De Vega gelding, who is out of the Listed winner Bloomfield, was beaten a neck on debut at this track but was then a convincing winner when stepped up in trip at Hamilton last time out.
He caught the eye when coming home three and three-quarter lengths ahead that day and looks able to climb another rung on the ladder when he returns to the Polytrack.

19:00 (Kempton) Royal Tapestry

On the same card, Charlie Johnston's Royal Tapestry makes his debut in the Unibet/British Stallion Studs EBF Novice Stakes.

A Too Darn Hot colt out of a Group-placed mare, who has produced a black type performer in the German Listed winner Broderie, Royal Tapestry is bred to be smart.

20:00 (Kempton) Coco Royale

In an interesting renewal, Marmara Sea seems to have chances on her return to the all-weather after a nine-length third at Newmarket on turf and that followed a one-length second over this trip at Lingfield.

Let Life Happen is another for the shortlist after coming home second on both of her starts to date and she can also go well, but Coco Royale could be the one beat.

Fifth and only beaten three lengths on her debut here, she was weak in the market that day and looked the sort to improve considerably for the experience.

21:00 (Kempton) Pons Aelius

Having been narrowly denied at Chester in May, Pons Aelius made no mistake when winning at Goodwood the following month.

Charlie Johnston's colt was a winner over course and distance from a 2lb lower mark in December and the son of Galileo could continue to progress over marathon trips.
A step up in trip could suit the lightly-raced Fox Vision and he heads the remainder.

Kempton selections in full:

KEMPTON: 6.00 Botanical, 6.30 Quatre Bras, 7.00 Royal Tapestry, 7.30 John Steed, 8.00 Coco Royale, 8.30 Miss Gallagher, 9.00 Pons Aelius
