Friday racing tips for Cheltenham, Doncaster, Southwell, Wolverhampton, Dundalk and Bangor

The Planet Sport tipsters have picked out a number of top selections from the meetings at Cheltenham, Doncaster, Southwell, Wolverhampton, Dundalk and Bangor on Friday, December 9.

Here's a quick bit of detail on our key selections for Friday's action, you can find the full list of tips for every race across all the tracks at the bottom of the page.
Don't forget to check out the racecards, results and live odds in Planet Sport's racing live centre.

19:15 (Southwell) Bungley

Bungley appeals most at Southwell in the second division of the Spreadex Sports Get £50 In Bonuses Handicap.
On a day when frost threatens the turf racing, there should be no issues at the Nottinghamshire all-weather track.
Tim Easterby's three-year-old made his debut on a synthetic surface at Wolverhampton in October, finishing second in a fair race behind William Haggas' smartly-bred Holocene.
That run should leave him well-placed for another good performance from near the bottom of the handicap.

16:45 (Southwell) Mimoset

At the same track it is Mimoset who can build on a competitive run in the BetUK's Acca Club £5 Free Bet Restricted Maiden Stakes.
The Rae Guest-trained filly was beaten narrowly on her last two all-weather starts, finishing third by half a length at Chelmsford in early November before missing out by just a nose over this course and distance later in the same month.
She should be in a handy position to shed her maiden tag under a good rider in David Probert.

16:15 (Southwell) Minhaaj

Brian Ellison is bobbing along at a steady strike-rate through the winter which makes Minhaaj of interest in the Scu Selects Expert Tips By Betuk Amateur Jockeys' Handicap.
While the five-year-old has been in consistent form herself since moving to the Malton-based handler, the biggest tick in the box is the booking of Simon Walker.
Walker has few peers in the amateur game and it is a huge boost to Minhaaj's chances that he will be on board.

12:15 (Wolverhampton) May Remain

Wolverhampton also stage all-weather racing on Friday, where May Remain would not be winning out of turn.
Ivan Furtado's seven-year-old was second over the same course and distance he faces in the first division of the Spreadex Sports Get £40 In Bonuses Handicap last time out and can defy top weight.
It could be a profitable afternoon for Furtado as in the second division his Dark Kris appears to hold very solid claims and then in the Talksport Powered By Fans Maiden Stakes, another Furtado inmate, Shamalama, looks the one to beat.

12:40 (Cheltenham) Master Chewy

If Cheltenham survives an inspection, Nigel Twiston-Davies' Master Chewy looks sure to bounce back from a scuppered effort last time out when he runs in the British EBF "National Hunt" Novices' Hurdle.
The five-year-old fell at the final flight when looking poised to win at Ascot in November, prior to which he was third on his debut over obstacles at Chepstow in October.
Barring the mistake that led to his Ascot fall, he has jumped well during both hurdle starts and should prove to have both scope and stamina up his sleeve as demonstrated on his competitive third-placed point-to-point run as a four-year-old.

13:15 (Cheltenham) Mister Coffey

Nicky Henderson's Mister Coffey can put his experience to good use in the Cheltenham & South-West Racing Club Novices' Limited Handicap Chase.
The seven-year-old is a second-season novice having failed to win last term but he was second in Grade One company - albeit beaten 21 lengths by L'Homme Presse in the Scilly Isles - and filled the same spot in the Kim Muir at the Festival in March.
He was well beaten in the Topham over the Grand National fences on his final outing but that came at the end of a busy season.

14:05 (Bangor) Navajo Pass

Bangor is also in doubt, but if they race it is Donald McCain's Navajo Pass who appeals in the R W Hough & Sons Handicap Hurdle.
A dual Grade Two winner, the gelding has more recently turned to handicapping and has seen his mark gradually decline to a current rating of 125.
Fourth at Carlisle on his latest outing, the gelding steps up in trip at Bangor and should be ready to land more of a blow having taken a run or two to hit his stride in previous seasons.
