Friday each-way Lucky 15: Tipstrr’s top four tips from Ayr, Newbury, Bath and Exeter

We’ve run the numbers on Tipstrr’s large team of horse racing pundits to put together a Lucky 15 based on the consensus of their most popular selections from Friday’s racecard.

16:25 Newbury

Tafreej is a solid short-priced favourite here, but that only enhances the value of horses lower down the betting, and bottom-weight Little Edi certainly catches the eye at 8/1 or higher.

A victory at Chepstow last August was a sign of things to come, and a couple of early-year outings on Kempton's all-weather surface were rewarded with another win and a runner-up spot.

His chances are further enhanced by carrying bottom weight, while his reunion with Oisin Murphy, who guided him to his last win at Kempton, might just be the final piece to the puzzle.
Suggested bet: Little Edi each-way in the 16:25 at Newbury

16:40 Bath

Although still behind John Betjeman and Fred Bear in the betting, Atalanta Breeze has been the recipient of plenty of market support since opening up at 14/1 on Thursday night.

This lightly-raced mare won on this course in 2021, was victorious on her only 2022 outing last September, and can probably be forgiven her below-par January pipe-opener on Lingfield's all-weather track as the majority of her better performances have been on turf.

Suggested bet: Atalanta Breeze each-way in the 16:40 at Bath

16:45 Ayr

With five horses vying for the favourite tag, Aramax seems to have plenty of support, both in the betting market and especially within the Tipstrr community.

It's three years since this gelding was a Cheltenham Festival winner (the 2020 Fred Winter when under Gordon Elliott's wing), since when he has failed to build on that promise.
However, there were signs when finishing a close-up third on his season debut at Newcastle at the end of March that he might just be about to rekindle former glories
Suggested bet: Aramax each-way in the 16:45 at Ayr

18:35 Exeter

The largest priced selection of our four is the Helen Nelmes-trained Wearapinkribbon who has gone winless in 13 outings since Paul Townend guided him to victory for Willie Mullins at Tramore in 2020.

He is 40 pounds lower in the handicap than he was in his Mullins days, and might be about to find his level under Paul O''Brien.

His two runs this year have not been stellar, but the better ground here should suit him, while wearing blinkers for the first time might be just the spark he needs to exploit that huge drop in ratings.

Suggested bet: Wearapinkribbon each-way in the 16:45 at Exeter
