Cheltenham Festival 2022: Thursday's Ryanair Chase tips - Allaho to dominate again

It's time to get to grips with the Ryanair Chase on Thursday, March 17 at the Cheltenham Festival. Our panel of experts think this one is nailed on.

Planet Sport's Jonathan Doidge and Cheltenham Festival winning jockey Dominic Elsworth voice their opinions on the Ryanair Chase.

This two mile four furlong schlep across the New Course at Cheltenham goes off at 14:50 and you can follow the action in our live centre.

Allaho comfortably won the 2021 version of this race under Rachael Blackmore, but this time Paul Townend will guide the Willie Mullins-trained horse home.

Mullins has won this race four times, and his going for a hat-trick of wins after also claiming the race in 2020 with Min, who had Townend on board that day.

Allaho - Jonathan Doidge (Planet Sport tipster)

"Banker of the meeting for me is Allaho. He won the race last year and beat Fakir D'Oudairies by 12 lengths. He's got form in the Albert Barlett too, third in 2019, third in the RSA in 2020 and then came back again last year with that sparkling performance to win this. The race is cutting up and if he gets round he wins."

Allaho - Dominic Elsworth (former Cheltenham Festival winning jockey)

"Allaho...see you later."

If you are looking for Racing Post's David Carr's selection unfortunately we had some technical issues with the recording of his interview. However, he was also very firmly behind Allaho too.
