Royal Kahala shines in Galmoy Hurdle as Klassical Dream disappoints

The Stayers' Hurdle on Thursday, March 17 is a fascinating contest and Planet Sport's expert panel have picked out Klassical Dream as one not to sleep on.

The Racing Post's David Carr, former Cheltenham Festival winning jockey Dominic Elsworth and Planet Sport's Jonathan Doidge are the marathon men pulling apart the Paddy Power Stayers' Hurdle.

It's is the fourth race on day three of the Festival, starting at 15:30, and you can find all you the information you need by clicking our live race centre.

In what seems an open looking renewal, Gavin Cromwell's Flooring Porter looks a worthy if not unbeatable favourite.

Nicky Henderson's Champ and Emma Lavelle's Paisley Park can never be written off in this sphere however.

Here is what Planet Sport's expert panel suggest a Stayers' Hurdle winner looks like.

Song For Someone - David Carr (Racing Post)

"I think there's potential for an upset here with a horse called Song For Someone, who's raced mainly at two miles, won the Coral Hurdle over two miles, three furlongs. I think he's going to be suited by this and I think he could show up a few reputations and run really well at a huge price."

Klassical Dream - Dominic Elsworth (Cheltenham Festival winning jockey)

"Well Flooring Porter is going to go off favourite but is a bit of an enigma, is quite hard to judge. As a good each-way bet I think Klassical Dream is always going to give you a good run for your money."

Klassical Dream - Jonathan Doidge (Planet Sport tipster)

"I'm going to go with Willie Mullins' Klassical Dream at the prices, he'll do for me, won the Supreme in 2019. Has only raced on eight occasions since."

"He won last year's Punchestown equivalent of this race, beat Flooring Porter at Leopardstown in the Grade 1 Christmas Hurdle. He disappointed at Gowran Park last time so has got to bounce back from that but is a classy sort."
