Cheltenham Festival 2022: Tuesday's Mares' Hurdle tips - Martello Sky a soaring each-way pick

Martello Sky in full flight
It's all about girl power for Planet Sport's team of experts who assess the Close Brothers Mares' Hurdle on Tuesday, March 15 at the 2022 Cheltenham Festival.
The Racing Post's David Carr, former Cheltenham Festival winning jumps jockey Dominic Elsworth and Planet Sport's Jonathan Doidge marvel over the mares in this Grade 1.
The Close Brothers Mares' Hurdle is the fifth race on Day 1 of the 2022 Cheltenham Festival and gets underway at 16:10 on Tuesday, March 15, and you can follow the action in our live race centre.
Another wide open race on a thrilling first day of Cheltenham 2022, there are plenty in with decent chances as you can tell from our panel's differing opinions.
Henry De Bromhead and Rachael Blackmore make a lethal team at Cheltenham but Telmesomethinggirl's patchy recent form may let in one of the following.
Burning Victory - David Carr (Racing Post)
"I think there could be an outsider that could go well in this in Burning Victory. She's taken time to find her feet over hurdles but she ran a blinder in the Cesarewitch off a real big weight last autumn.
"She looked last time as if she was getting her act together over hurdles."
Martello Sky - Dominic Elsworth (former Cheltenham jockey)
"Quite an open race, Martello Sky for me a bit of an each-way bet, Telmesomethingirl has been a little bit disappointing she's going to go off favourite but this season has been a bit disappointing, maybe last year just took it out of her.
"But as a good each-way bet I think Martello Sky, trained by Lucy Wadham."
Heaven Help Us - Jonathan Doidge (Planet Sport tipster)
"Got Cheltenham Festival winning form, won the Coral Cup last year. She is inconsistent I've got to say so if she brings her B or C game she ain't going to win this but if she brings her A game, which she does every few races, then I think she's got possibilities taking on the favourite Telmesomethinggirl."
