Cartier Racing Awards winners 2021 full rundown: St Mark’s Basilica named Horse Of The Year
The great and the good of racing were in London on Wednesday night for the Cartier Racing Awards and Planet Sport are on hand with a full rundown of the winners.

Irish Champion Stakes winner St Mark's Basilica has been revered as Horse Of The Year at the 31st Cartier Racing Awards, held at the Dorchester Hotel in London on Wednesday night.
The retired Coolmore colt was also named the Three-Year-Old Colt of the Year, an honour which will do his value as a stallion at stud no harm at all.
Elsewhere, Lockinge Stakes winner Palace Pier was named Older Horse of the Year, Ed Walker's meteoric Starman won Sprinter of the Year, while Cheveley Park Stud's exciting Inspiral scooped Two-Year-Old Filly of the Year for John and Thady Gosden.
Alan King's likeable long-ranger Trueshan was rewarded for a stellar summer, including beating Stradivarius in the Prix du Cadran by being named Stayer of the Year.
