Greg Norman claims more superstars are on their way to LIV Golf

LIV Golf boss Greg Norman claims that there is a raft of golf superstars set to join the breakaway tour in the very near future.

Norman - public enemy number one among many golf loyalists - recently landed one of his biggest fish in popular Spaniard Jon Rahm. The two-time major champion's surprise move has re-ignited the rhetoric around the state of golf's respective Tours.

Speaking to the BBC's World Business Report, Norman revealed that Rahm's signing is going to have a knock-on effect on other players.

"To have Jon on board was critically important to our next steps into the future and what we want to do," said the Australian.

"It will create a domino effect, there will be more apples falling from the tree - there's no question about it.

"Since Jon signed, less than a week ago now, I know my phone is blowing up. I know we probably have eight to 12 players who are very, very keen to sit down and talk to us about coming on board. Time will tell."

Norman went on to say Rahm's change of heart is a testament to the kind of product LIV Golf is offering fans and players.

"It tells you the value of what our platform is, where these PGA Tour players see the opportunity that LIV offers," continued the two-time major winner,

"LIV is a different platform to the DP World Tour or the PGA Tour and the players want to do both quite honestly, so we've created something special. It's a franchise, it's a team model and they have embraced it 100 percent."

With the PGA Tour losing another one of its stars, pressure is mounting on commissioner Jay Monahan to get the proposed merger of the Tours over the line before the fast-approaching 31 December deadline.
