Exclusive: Ryan Garcia in talks to fight Isaac Cruz for comeback fight

Garcia is 21-0 and previously held the WBC interim title at lightweight before an inactive 2021.

Planet Sport can reveal Golden Boy Promotions are set to name Isaac Cruz as Ryan Garcia's comeback fight.
"King Ry" has been inactive since his stunning win over 2012 Olympic gold-medallist Luke Campbell in January.

Garcia took time out of the sport to focus on his mental health and pulled out of two potential bouts with Javier Fortuna and JoJo Diaz Jr.

A source has confirmed Garcia is plotting a return to action in March or April with hopes of securing a world title shot in the summer.
It is a tough fight to dust off the cobwebs if so, with Cruz most recently taking Gervonta 'Tank' Davis the distance. Some even scored the fight in favour of "Pitbull" at the Staples Center.
The lightweight division is currently thriving and Garcia will want to remind the world of what he can do having been out for so long.
George Kambosos Jr. is the current king of the division having conquered Teofimo Lopez in November to win the WBA, WBO and IBF world titles.
Devin Haney - who stepped in to face Diaz in December - holds the WBC title and as it stands, he is the front-runner to take on Kambosos and crown an undisputed champion.
Then there is Davis and Pound for Pound great Vasyl Lomachenko. It's safe to say Garcia is not short of options heading into the second half of 2022 - as long as he remains fit and healthy.
