Ryan Garcia pulls out of July 9 clash to look after health and wellbeing

"We wholeheartedly support Ryan Garcia and wish him the best during this time."

Ryan Garcia has withdrawn from his upcoming fight in July to 'manage my health and wellbeing'.
"Kingry", who defeated Luke Campbell in Dallas at the start of the year, was expected to return and face Javier Fortuna on July 9.
However, the lightweight sensation has instead opted to take time out of the game to look after his mental health.

"I've decided to take some time off to focus on becoming a stronger version of myself," Garcia said in an Instagram post.

"I hope to be back soon and am looking forward to stepping back into the ring when I am my healthiest self."
Garcia, who has previously spoken about his struggles with anxiety, has been supported by promoter Oscar De La Hoya.
"The health of our fighters is of the utmost importance to us at Golden Boy.
"We wholeheartedly support Ryan Garcia and wish him the best during this time."
